Church vestments and embroidery

For a good number of years I designed and worked embroidered textiles, combining traditional hand-embroidery such as metal thread work with more contemporary techniques. I designed and made vestment sets to commission in London, South Africa and Germany, and also made many large-scale wall hangings and jewellery items. This is a selection of my work, photographed without the advantage of a digital camera. My embroidery work these days is mainly confined to presentation cases for icons.
