Many of my clients are not used to commissioning artwork, so I aim to make my process and pricing as simple and transparent as I can.
PRICES
Standard cost for an icon or panel painting: 9 x 12 cm - €145, 12 x 15 cm - €220 , 13 x 18 cm - €285, 15 x 20 cm - €385 , 20 x 25 cm - €555. As a guide, please calculate on €1.25 per centimetre square unless you wish something very intricate, or a miniature. Sterling prices will be calculated according to the current exchange rate.
Please also allow for delivery charges, and possible customs duties if you are outside the EU.
BUYING PROCESS
We will agree a detailed drawing (sent by email) and a fixed price before I start work. On completion I will send you a scan or photograph of the finished piece for you to check over and I will present my invoice. If you are unhappy with the finished painting, you are not committed to purchase. Mostly I do not request a deposit. For large pieces or really out-of-the-way subjects, I may request a 25% non-returnable deposit to cover the cost of materials. Ideally you should allow 4 - 6 weeks for completion, to allow for drying time..
